If you have textmate you can check out the code they use to obfuscate email addresses. Or just check it out in the public bundles repo. There's even a clone of the whole repo on gitHub.
But this sort of thing should really be done before a site is launched, or even publicly indexable. Searching for my email address now brings up gitHub at the top result. Thanks. (Yes, it does bring up other results where I have stupidly made it public all by myself, but that's my stupidity, not yours ;)
But really we users should always expect websites to stupidly publish our email addresses for all spammers to easily scrape, that's why I have to have 3 different email addresses now.
And gas is really expensive. :(

@thomas: The profile email is opt-in. I figured anyone adding their email address was aware of what they were getting themselves into.
Personally, I don't obsfucate my email anywhere. chris@ozmm.org, my personal address, has over 4,100 google hits yet I get 0 spam. Maybe it's time to upgrade your spam filter?
That said, we'll add this feature request to give people peace of mind.

This'll be fixed in the next deploy. Thanks.
