Campfire bot doesn't handle rooms with spaces

Reported by Dieter Komendera | May 11th, 2008 @ 08:31 AM

When I specify a campfire room which contains spaces, the bot doesn't join the room and post its messages.

If I change the room name to one which contains no spaces, it works as expected.

I also double checked the permissions of the bot account.

It works great for me. I set it up the other day for a room called "Bot Testing". See screenshot.

I can't get it to work either. I've created a room in Campfire and entered my information correctly. I've tried to use a room without spaces as well but it doesn't post. I've tried to change my repository from private to public with no result. I've tried to toggle SSL access to campfire with no result.

Campfire rooms with spaces have been verified to work numerous times. In most cases, people were entering in some piece of information incorrectly, thus causing the campfire hook to not work.
