Differentiate news feed actions (by background color)

When reading the news feed entries the "commented" and "committed" actions look pretty similar and are hard to distinguish at first sight.
I think different background colors or any other kind of visual separation would enhance the readability. Se the attached file for an example (I'm not actually suggesting the green background, it's just to make clear what I'm talking about).
