Compacting the new search form
Reported by simon.bohlin (at gmail) | May 21st, 2008 @ 09:59 AM
The Search from yesterday ( http://github.com/blog/66-reposi... ) could be less cluttering. Wishes:
1. Remove the header "Repo Search:" and instead having "Search" in gray font visible inside the input box. This is standard in Firefox, so users understand this.
2. Shorten "Commit Message" to only "Message" to save space.
(This assumes that private messages should be sought after via the makeshift search up in the user badge.)
(Also, many techies don't understand "repo".)

I think the term Repo is important.. Its the term used throughout Git for a Repository. I can't think of a better term?

I'd settle for having "Repo Search" inside the search box :-)

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the current placement either. I need to work on a better place to fit it. It's on my radar.
