Rename Repositories?
Reported by Jim Lindley | March 25th, 2008 @ 09:06 PM
I've forked a repo, and have gutted/rearranged it to the point that the original name doesn't quite fit. Being able to rename it but keep it in the network would be a nice feature.

+1
Perhaps this should ticket should be renamed to encompass *renaming generally*, and not just renaming of forks. See also #128 for a specific issue that arises from name collision, and not being able to rename repositories.
Renaming of forks though is really important - as unless we follow Dr. Nic's suggestion in ticket #50 and have a separate "fork description" - being able to give the fork an appropriate name is crucial in showing the fork's *intent*: a major rewrite, development of a particular feature development, or just a separate remote repository to work from.

How? Where? I can't see where it is under the UI? has the code been
pushed out yet?
Its not under myname/myrepo/edit, which is where I'd kind of expect it
to be.

Whoops, it's hidden as a beta feature. I'll see what needs to be done in order to push it out. My bad.
